What you'll do?
- Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s Human Resources (~400 employees) at an electronics manufacturing facility by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices
- Develop organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.
- Implement human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee and labour relations, legal compliance, health and safety, and payroll
- Develop human resources operations financial strategies for collective bargaining and fiscal year
- Support site leadership team by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and application
- Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values
- Comply with federal, provincial, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
- Administer three pension plans and oversee employee benefits plans.
- Act as an ambassador for Veoneer and assists in promoting and influencing the desired culture
- Provide recommendations for corrective action, policy revision and/or improving employee relations
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring?
- Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
- Minimum 7 years of progressive human resources experience with at least 3 years of supervisory or management experience in the field
- Labour relations experience including the negotiation of Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Must have strong strategic thinking ability, leadership and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a manufacturing/engineering facility is an asset
- HR Certification helpful.
